Bellagio on Amirian Street
Printable
Version
The
Bellagio is one of the best restaurants of Yerevan and worth
the visit. The Italian name suggests Italian food, but we
would consider it Armenian food with Italian flavor. It
is located on Amirian Street, just two blocks from Republic
Square.
Restaurant
Design - Very Good
The Bellagio on Amirian Street has three different levels.
The first one is designed in standard dining room fashion
with white tablecloths and closely positioned tables. The
second level reminds more of a lounge with huge projection
screen, bar in the middle and comfortable chairs with small
round tables. The third one is the tea house in the basement
which is good for conversations, but not for dinning.
The lounge of Bellagio is the best place of the restaurant.
Its dark colored interior with recessed lightening creates
very intimate and nice environment. It is a great place
for conversation with the friends, casual dining or for
romantic dinner.
Service - Excellent
Service in Bellagio is very professional. The uniformed
waiters and waitress provide exceptional service and can
explain their dishes. Staff is honest, polite and courteous.
Food and Drinks - Very Good
Bellagio became one of our favorite restaurants in the city.
We found that regular Tafta Kyfta (fried lean ground beef)
is one of the best we had in Yerevan. Every dish in the
restaurant was great and we enjoyed all of them. The rainbow
trout also deserved mentioning, the dish was very impressive
and tasty. Salads and apetizers were good, but shrimp for
seafood salad were canned. The Areni wine in Bellagio one
of the best we had in Yerevan's restaurants.
Prices - Moderate $$$
We rate Bellagio moderately priced restaurant a good dinner
with wine under $10 per person.
Obviously if you order Sevan Trout, which was frozen, it
will cost you over $15 just for the trout alone.
