Sherlock Holmes is a very nice
everyday restaurant. It is located on Marshal Bagramian Avenue, across
the American University. The restaurant is very comfortable and simple.
As the name suggests, the British detective's theme carried over to
the menu and pictures on the walls.
Restaurant Design - Good
The interior design theme is taken from popular US restaurants like
Clyde's or TGI Fridays. It is simple, yet very well executed and comfortable.
The restaurant menu is quite original and contained detailed description
of their dishes.
Service - Very Good
The service in Sherlock Holmes was very good. The waiter was polite,
courteous and knew all the dishes that they have offered.
Food and Drinks - Very Good
When you are in Armenia, you should try their Sturgeon soup. It is the
best we have had anywhere, clean, light and in the same time with a
unique flavor. The fish soup was not the only dish that deserved high
scores from us. The meat dishes, like beef steaks were perfect. We have
found that Vernashen, the semi-sweet wine was best suited with their
meats. In general, we liked everything in the Sherlock Holmes, the appetizers,
bread, main dishes and drinks.
Prices - Moderate $$$
The dinner with the drinks will cost you under $10. It is pretty much
moderately priced restaurant. The quality of food is great and you will
get a lot for your buck.
