I am tired of overcomplicated, Armenian portals that have thousand of links with navigational nightmare. So, I hope that you will enjoy simplicity of Haykland.com. I live in Washington, DC area in the United States, but I was born in Armenia, so I am an Armenian American.

Armenia is my motherland and for me it is the most beautiful country in the world. When I was a student of Yerevan State University I spent considerable amount of time researching nature of Armenia and traveling around the country. Every rock, plant or mountain in Armenia is like part of myself.

What things I like in Armenia

Summer cafes, restaurants, markets (shuka), food, people, nature, architecture, summer walks in Yerevan, view of Ararat, Armenian red wine, Ararat brandy, taxi service and churches.

What I I really dislike in Armenia is corrupt Armenian traffic police, out of control local tycoons, and corrupt government officials.

What I enjoy

Nature, books, research, music, science, history, geography, travel, Formula 1 racing, driving(racing) my M3, nice restaurants, Armenian food, good wine, Internet, digital photography, swimming, Russian movies, IT related stuff and much more.

I will try to bring you more interesting stories about Armenia and weekly reviews from various places in Yerevan.
